Bianca Janine Pettis / BEE WILDE
Multidisciplinary Artist • Director • Producer • Sound Designer
Bianca Janine Pettis is a Minneapolis-based experimental filmmaker, sound artist, and interdisciplinary performer whose work blends storytelling, music production, and public art. With over 20 years of experience as a creative producer, video editor, and performer, Pettis creates immersive projects that explore identity, imagination, and transformation.
As co-founder of the nationally recognized sound art duo Beatrix*Jar, Pettis became known for her innovative work in circuit bending, live sound collage, and participatory art experiences. She has led over 300 sound art workshops nationwide and produced original albums, video series, and experimental performances for festivals, schools, and museums.
Pettis served as director and editor of The BeatrixJar Show*, a surreal green screen video series where she played multiple characters and combined found footage, satire, and performance art. Her work has been presented at CalArts, the Walker Art Center, the Bell Museum, and on WFNU Frogtown Radio.
Now performing under the solo persona Bee Wilde, Pettis continues to explore hybrid forms of music, film, and storytelling. As a music producer and solo performer, she is developing new video works and completing advanced mixing and sound design studies at Berklee College of Music Online.
Whether creating public art murals, directing experimental shorts, or crafting emotionally resonant soundscapes, Bianca Janine Pettis brings bold vision and a genre-defying spirit to everything she creates.
